Msaada's supported accommodation scheme is for those suffering from mental health problems, learning difficulties and/or associated conditions. The support given is either of a low level but constantly reviewed and evaluated or if living independently, minimal or no support.
The aim of the supported living service is to give a better quality of life to vulnerable people enabling them to live independently and to maintain their place of residence. Our client group includes the homeless, physically disabled, mental health and addiction
Accommodation and services:
Beaconsfield
Beaconsfield consists of 3 terraced houses in a quiet residential area of Rushden. The houses are close to all local amenities including transport, doctors, shopping and leisure facilities.
Beaconsfield House 1 comprises of three first floor bedrooms and a bathroom, a ground floor office, a communal lounge and a kitchen/ diner. There are gardens to both the front and the rear of the property.
Beaconsfield House 2 comprises of two first floor bedrooms and a bathroom, a communal lounge and a kitchen/ diner. There is a garden to the front of the property.
Beaconsfield House 3 comprises of three first floor bedrooms and a bathroom, a ground floor bedroom, a communal lounge and a kitchen/ diner. There are gardens to both the front and the rear of the property.
The service provided for all three houses is a ‘core hours’ scheme, with one member of staff on duty between 7.00/ 11.00 and 16.00/ 22.00 everyday. There is an additional staff member sleeping in for the benefit of all three houses. The ‘core hours’ may be used by all service users to provide assistance and support with day to day living skills.
Cliftonville Court
Cliftonville Court provides two or three bed roomed flats in a quiet residential area of Northampton. The house is close to all local amenities including transport, doctors, shopping and leisure facilities. The flats are either two or three bed roomed, there is a lounge/ diner, bathroom and newly fitted kitchen. There are communal gardens to both the front and the rear of the property. Ground floor, first floor and second floor flats are available. All properties have been refurbished to a very high standard.
The service provided is a ‘core hours’ scheme, with two members of staff on duty between 7.00/ 22.00 everyday. There are an additional 2 members of staff sleeping in at Cliftonville Court for the benefit of all flats. The ‘core hours’ may be used by all service users to provide assistance and support with day to day living skills.
Park Avenue
Park Avenue is a nine bed roomed house in a quiet pleasant residential area of Northampton. The house is close to all local amenities including transport, doctors, shopping and leisure facilities and the Msaada Head Office.
Clarke Road
Clarke Road is a four bed roomed house in a quiet residential street in Northampton. The house is close to all local amenities including transport, doctors, shopping and leisure facilities and the Msaada Head Office.
Perry Street
Perry Street is a three bed roomed house in a quiet residential street in Northampton. The house is close to all local amenities including transport, doctors, shopping and leisure facilities and the Msaada Head Office.
Cotterville
Cottrell is a four bed roomed house in a quiet residential area of Northampton. The house is close to all local amenities including transport, doctors, shopping and leisure facilities.
Msaada offers support to individuals living at Park Avenue, Clarke Road, Perry Street and Cottrell in accordance with the Supporting People Scheme. This support enables people to learn daily living skills, money management and to encourage further independence. Support offered is arranged according to individual needs and is based upon one hour's support per person per day.
Msaada’s ‘Commission for Quality Care’ registered domiciliary care agency is able to provide additional personal care or support in all supported accommodations of Msaada if agreed funding is secured and this would be based upon individual need and assessment. Support available includes enabling people to learn daily living skills, money management, help with personal care and our aim is always to encourage further independence. Funding can be arranged via care management, or through an individual budget, privately funded or by using the Direct Payments scheme.
Msaada can offer tenancy agreements to individuals with learning difficulties and or mental health issues. Cottrell is able to accept referrals from both males and females.
Additional support is provided by staff based at the Msaada Head Office in Northampton. Our finance and benefit advisors support people with applying for correct the levels of benefits, support people with their money management and complete an individual financial assessment and support plan. The Msaada office is open from 8.30- 5.30 Monday to Friday. In addition to this an out of hours on call system operates for emergency use.
